Customs & Documentation
Seamless Border Crossing
Delays happen when paperwork isn’t perfect. We proactively manage the documentation flow between the shipper, the carrier, and the customs broker.
Southbound (USA ➔ Mexico)
EXPORT
We coordinate the “Cruce” (crossing). Ensuring the commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading align perfectly before the truck reaches Laredo.
Northbound (Mexico ➔ USA)
IMPORT
We track the “Pedimento” status and coordinate with U.S. Customs brokers for immediate clearance upon arrival.
- Did you know?
Missing a single digit on a commercial invoice can hold a truck at the border for days.
Shipping Modes We Service Mexico
FTL
Full Truckload

PTL
Partial Truckload
The perfect balance of cost and speed for mid-sized loads, with less handling than LTL.
LTL
Less-Than-Truckload
Cost-effective for smaller shipments. Share space and save money with our LTL Carrier Network.

Protection for Sensitive Freight
Mexico’s highways can be tough on freight. We use premium tarping, crating, and blocking & bracing techniques to ensure your cargo arrives in perfect condition, whether it’s sensitive electronics or finished machinery.
Don't Gamble with Cargo Insurance
In Mexico, carrier cargo insurance is limited. If your load is stolen or damaged, you could lose thousands. We offer All-Risk Cargo Insurance up to $500,000 per shipment.

Mexico Freight FAQ
Common questions about shipping to and from Mexico.
Essential Documentation
Yes. Unlike Canada, Mexico requires a licensed Mexican Customs Broker (Agente Aduanal) for importation. We can work with your broker or recommend one to handle the 'Pedimento' and duty payments.
You must provide a Commercial Invoice (English & Spanish), Bill of Lading, Packing List, and a NAFTA/USMCA Certificate of Origin. For regulated goods, additional permits from Mexican agencies (like COFEPRIS) may be needed.
The Carta Porte is a mandatory tax supplement issued by the SAT (Mexico's tax authority) for all goods moving within Mexico. It digitally details the cargo, shipper, receiver, and carrier to combat contraband.
Border Operations & Logistics
Direct (Door-to-Door) keeps freight on one trailer, reducing damage risk but is often more expensive. Transloading (unloading at the border) is cost-effective and opens up more capacity with Mexican carriers. We offer both solutions.
We operate through all major ports: Laredo, TX (primary industrial hub), El Paso, TX, Otay Mesa, CA, Nogales, AZ, and Pharr, TX. We select the crossing based on your origin/destination to minimize mileage.
1. US carrier delivers to Laredo yard. 2. Docs are validated. 3. A 'Transfer' (B1) driver takes the trailer across the World Trade Bridge. 4. Mexican carrier picks up the trailer or transloaded freight in Nuevo Laredo for final delivery.
Yes. We specialize in temporary import logistics for manufacturing. We understand the specific documentation codes required to ensure your goods are imported duty-free under the IMMEX decree.
Security & Specialized Requirements
C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary supply chain security program. Using C-TPAT carriers allows access to FAST lanes at the border, significantly reducing inspection times.
No. Mexican law limits carrier liability to ~$0.05/lb. This is insufficient for most cargo. We strongly recommend purchasing our All-Risk Cargo Insurance to cover the full value of your goods door-to-door.
Yes. We handle heavy haul projects requiring SCT (Secretariat of Infrastructure) permits. Note that Mexico has different restrictions on travel times and pilot car requirements than the U.S.
